A week of fun

I got to hang out with a lot of cool family members this week. My Papa took care of me on Monday and Tuesday, Aunt Becky played with me on Wednesday and Nana came down to visit on Thursday. I am quite popular!

I've been playing with toys and am getting so much better at tummy time!

Oh- and I'm 15 weeks old now too :)

A week with Grandma

Penny's having fun with Grandma T this week while we're at work. They've been going for walks, playing with our fish and having lots of fun together. Grandma took Penny's 14 week photos for us today :) Thanks Grandma for all your help! We are very lucky parents of one very lucky little fourteen week old!

3 Months

Penny is already 3 months old. Time is flying by and we're really having fun with our baby girl. She spent her week with daddy. He looks like a natural wearing that bjorn :)

Penny and daddy had a great week! And, I survived my first week back to work. When I got home, she would tell me about all the fun she had with daddy. They took walks and played, had tummy time and sang Winnie the Pooh songs.

Daddy took over the weekly photo shoots. As you can see, she's becoming more active and expressive. She's found her hands and loves to try to get them both into her mouth. She uses them to play with her burp cloths and blankets. She's sleeping in her crib (but still waking up a few times at night). She's starting to enjoy tummy time and loves to sit up in her bumbo chair. Bath time is her favorite time of day. She reached for a toy the other day while playing in her gym. We are having so much fun with her and can't wait to see what she'll learn next!

Back to Work

Dear Penny,
It's mommy. My maternity leave is over and I'm back to work during the week days. While I'm there I miss you terribly. When I was pregnant, you came to work with me every day and I don't think I really appreciated the fact that I got to spend all my time with you. I LOVED maternity leave. I had so much fun watching you grow and learn and hope that you had fun with me. You started off as a tiny little peanut and now you're one busy growing girlfriend. In your first few weeks, we spent most of our days and nights learning about one another. You were learning how to tell us what you needed and daddy and I were learning how to calm you and give you what you needed. At six weeks, you really started to smile and that made me so happy! At nine weeks you started 'talking' and you're so expressive these days. You're starting to move and you're getting so strong! You'll be rolling and sitting before we know it. I love that when I come home from work you can smile and tell me about your day. I love that you recognize me now (and the Pooh Bear on your curtain in your bedroom). I love that we have our whole lives to learn more about each other. Most of all, I just love being your mom. I hope that one day I'll get to stay home with you on weekdays so that we can grow and learn together. I'll have you know I'm really good at playing Barbies. But, until then, I'm so very thankful that daddy, grandma, nanna, poppa and those crazy aunties of yours will be there to grow and learn with you until the end of the summer. We are so very lucky to have family like them! I love you baby girl :) Mommy

12 Weeks & a Visit from Kelsi

Penny is 12 weeks old! She got to celebrate 12 weeks with Kelsi, who came to town for a wedding a few days early so she could visit with us. Kelsi introduced RC and I back in 2003 (I worked with her at E&Y and RC went to college with her at Villanova). To say she was a big help on my last few days of maternity leave is an understatement. Kelsi watched Penny so that I could get a haircut and run a few errands, helped around the house, helped me with grocery shopping and a trip to Kohl's, shared dinner recipes that will really help when I'm back at work, taught me so many things a mom should know and showered little Penny with love. I can't thank her enough for everything she's done for our family!

My first wedding

Although I was at Sarah & John's, Allyson & Chris' and Kristen & Dom's weddings while I was inside mommy's belly, I went to my very first real wedding this weekend. Jen was such a beautiful bride...that Bobby is a lucky man! I was such a good girl during church for my daddy and Poppa (that paparazzi Nana of mine was off taking photos)! Mommy thought it was pretty cool that my first wedding took place in the same church where Nana and Poppa got married. I skipped the reception and hung out with Aunt Missy and Great Gram Kadingo :) I had so much fun at Nana & Poppa's house and slept like a champ the entire weekend!
