We Are Thankful!

In November, I posted a series of things that I was thankful for on Facebook, and I want to log them all in one spot.
11/1- today I am thankful for RC, who grows more amazing everyday as a husband and father. You rock baby and Penny and I are proud of you!
‎11/2- today I am very thankful for dental insurance an an amazing endontist who did my root canal today.
11/3- today I am thankful for my sweet little Penny. I treasure her cuddles, curiosity, sass and ability to teach me about what is truly important. She really is the best of both RC and I mixed together.
‎11/4- TGIF! Today I'm thankful for my parents. I appreciate the sacrifices and decisions they made for my sisters and I even more now that I'm a parent. And, seeing them enjoy being grandparents is just about the coolest thing ever! Love you mom & dad!
‎11/5- today I'm thankful for my sister Missy who sneaks in, cleans up and wears Penny out with her crazy energy. She's crafty, caring, not afraid to tell you what she thinks and FUN! Love you Missy!
‎11/6- thankful for my sister Becky who loves my Penny just as much as I do! She's patient, sensitive and an amazing teacher who is changing the world! She can also crack herself up like no one else! Love you Becky!
‎11/7- today I am thankful for my sister Nicole. She's organized, meticulous, can tackle any project and has a huge heart. So glad she's back on the East Coast, so Penny really can drive to see Aunt Nic! Love you Nic!
‎11/8- so very thankful for my sister-in-law Megan. Over the past few weeks she's been more supportive than she knows! She can make Penny giggle like no one else :) she's an amazing PT and an amazing sister to RC! Love you Aunt Meggie!
‎11/9- today I'm thankful for my sister in law Terra, one of the smartest people I know. We are so lucky Penny has her as a role model- showing her that girls can excel in math & science. She's brave (chasing tornadoes), strong (triathalons are no match for her) and beautiful! Love you Terra!
‎11/11- thankful for those brave men and women who have represented America.
‎11/12- Thankful for happily ever after's and a great night with family! Congrats MaryAnn & Rocky!
‎11/13- thankful for Lisa, who always seems to know what I'm thinking and is always there when I need her. She's an amazing mom, wife and friend!
‎11/14- thankful for childhood friends who've been so influential, who help me remember who I am and who are just amazing people. Thankful for all I've learned from them!
‎11/15- thankful for my HS girlfriends, who love me despite my quirks. These girls have grown to be amazing women and I'm so glad we still have each other! We've had so many adventures over the years- the concerts and road trips and 90210 parties and girls weekends...it's nice to be able to act like a kid again, even in my 30's! I can't wait to see where we'll go next!
11/16- thankful for my college roomies, who taught me how to live a little and make the best of everyday. I miss our kitchen dance parties and midnight trips to Walmart. I miss sharing closets and always having someone to talk to. I love that we are still friends and can't wait to see you all again soon!
‎11/17- thankful for everything Bloomsburg had to offer, for the amazing experiences I had and friends I met during my time in the only town in Pennsylvania.
‎11/18- TGIF! In desperate need of a weekend. Thankful I have a job, even on a rough week. More thankful for some awesome co-workers who help keep things in perspective! And for Ellen, who really runs the show!
‎11/19- thankful to have reached the 24 week mark. Thankful for the perspective we've gained over the past 12 weeks! And, thankfully looking forward to meeting a little boy who will be more alike than he is different.
‎11/20- thankful for Heidi, the best thing accounting has brought me. She is one of those amazing people who sees the good in everything. Moving to Media after college with her was one of my favorite adventures. I wish we lived closer today!
‎11/21- thankful for Penny's daycare teachers who love her and teach her new things everyday. They are the most patient people and we're lucky to have found them! I wish I got to spend my days with her, but since I don't, it's comforting to know that she is with people who treat her with love!
‎11/22 thankful for Bloomsburg swimming! The team was my 2nd family and Coach Rider and Coach King helped guide me through the best four years I could have hoped for! I learned a lot in and out of the pool and made some of the best friends I have. I was terrified when I walked into the swimmers house that first night, worried that I wouldn't fit in or that I wouldn't be fast enough. I quickly learned there was a place for everyone, even a "mom" like me. I am so thankful for the experience and love to read the letters in my senior gift scrapbook to remember just how much fun we ha
d!‎11/23- Thankful for all the amazing people in my life and this world who inspire me to be a better wife, mother, employee and person. I am lucky to have crossed paths with so many amazing people! Wish I could thank them all personally!
11/24- thankful to be spending the day with family, remembering that we have so been given so much! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
‎11/10- today I am thankful for my in-laws. They may not live close, but they sure are there when we need them and we love our Sunday web cam dates- Penny really loves to tell them all about her week! Love you Grammy and Pa! Can't wait for you to visit for Christmas!

Papa's Little Helper

Papa came over to help us with some projects.  He found a new little helper!
Penny LOVED helping with the yard work.  She might actually be better with the rake than mommy!
She was pretty good with the shovel too :)
Papa's little helper had a great time working in the yard. Thanks Papa for all your help!

Missy's back in PA

Can we tell you how excited we are that Aunt Missy lives in PA again?
And her new  neighborhood is so cool- there are all kinds of old structures to play in and around (great for taking pictures too!).

We had fun exploring with her :)

Penny loved running around!
Welcome back to PA Aunt Missy!

Go on the Choo Choo and Get a Milkshake

On a random Saturday, daddy took Penny swimming.
Except for the fact that the pool was cold, Penny had a blast.  And, she loved to watch Daddy swim laps! She kept saying, Daddy swim faster!
After a nap, we took a Choo Choo train ride from Radnor to Ardmore. Penny has been asking to go on the train for awhile now, and SHE LOVED IT!
She loved saying hi to the conductor and looking out the window as we passed the stops. Daddy showed her Villanova, where he went to school :)
When we got to Ardmore, we went shopping for Penny's new sneakers and then we went to Ruby's for a milkshake!
Now Penny asks almost every day if we can go on the Choo Choo and get a milkshake!

What a fun afternoon!

Happy Halloween 2011!

We had an awesome Halloween with our little peacock!
We went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with our neighbors Lisa & Liam and their niece/cousin Alexa.  Penny had a blast.  She would only say "trick-or-treat, smell my feet" to her buddy Jason (Liam's dad), but she did say hi and bye bye to all the neighbors as they gave her candy, and by the end, she was saying Thank You nice and loud!  She loved going door to door to grab treats and she loved all the attention she got from the neighbors!

We hope you had more treats and less tricks! Happy Halloween!

Adventures in the Snow

Penny had her first solo sleepover at Nana & Papa's house while mommy & daddy visited Lancaster for Pete & Collen's wedding.  Their beautiful fall wedding turned into a winter wonderland wedding and Penny got snowed in with Nana & Papa.  Never fear, they had tons of fun in the snow! Good thing we bought that snow suit at the end of last season!
Penny had fun "sliding" down the hill with Nana and Papa and helping to shovel off the driveway and front walk. She built her first snowman with Papa.
We missed her like crazy, but we're happy she had fun in the snow! Thanks so much Nana and Papa for watching our little snow bunny!

Pumpkin fun with Godmother Kellie!

Our little pumpkin went on her annual hayride with Godmother Kellie the Friday before Halloween.  Penny & Kellie had a blast at MerryMead. They ran through the corn maze and saw all the animals.  And they caught the first hayride of the night to make year #2 a fun filled halloween at the farm! Thank goodness we got our trip in when we did- it snowed a few inches the next morning and the hayrides were shut down :(
Happy Fall!

A visit from Aunt Meg & Chris

Aunt Megan & Chris were in town for Mr. Pete & Miss Colleen's wedding, so they came to visit me :) I had so much fun with them. We made pizza and had dinner together one night. And then Aunt Meg helped with bathtime and read me stories. Those two can make me laugh! When Aunt Meg & I are together, you know a giggle-fest is going to happen :)They even let me feed them some apple jacks! (Thanks guys for being such good sports when Penny wanted to "share" her snack with you!)I loved every second of their visit and hope I'll get to see them again soon!

Miss you two already! love, Penny (and mommy & daddy)
