Fun with Mommy and Daddy

Here are some recent photos from Penny's adventures. Penny & I went to Orwigsburg for Mara's baby shower last weekend while daddy stayed home and caught up on housework (daddy was a rockstar- we came home to a pretty lawn and a clean house. Thanks daddy!). She had so much fun meeting Jen, Amy, Mara, Steph and baby Izzy. And, she had fun with nana and poppa too! This week we took our first trip to the grocery store. She loved the produce! Daddy also introduced her to his happy place- Best Buy. They only ran in for a quick minute to pick up a computer part, so I'm sure there will be more daddy-daughter Best Buy shopping to come.
This week we're sending special birthday wishes to Grandma, Great grandma Jeannie and Great grandma Thompson. We love you all!

10 Weeks Old

Sorry for the lack of posting- our home computer broke and RC is currently building us a new one. Penny is ten weeks old already. This week she took her first trip to Target (she slept the entire time) and we met Daddy for lunch at his work. His co-workers loved Penny!

We're having fun watching Penny grow. She's started holding her legs in the air while she's laying down and this morning she touched her toes on her own...she was so proud! She loves to "talk" to us. We have no idea what she's trying to tell us, but she certainly has a lot to say and we love to hear all about it.

Two Months Old!

Penny is two months old already! The weeks are flying by and she is growing :) At her two month doctor's appointment, Penny weighed 11 pounds 7 ounces and was 23.5 inches long. She's hitting her milestones and seems to be a generally happy baby who doesn't really like to sleep. She's had a few good nights, but she seems to like to eat more than she likes to sleep, so we are up often.
Aunt Terra was in town for Penny's two month birthday. She taught Penny all about the weather and even brought her a print out of the weather conditions on her birth date for the baby book, which is very cool!
Now that we've hit the two month mark, the doctor gave us the all clear to occasionally take our little peanut out on the town. Mommy and Penny celebrated by meeting up with Lisa and Natalie for lunch. Natalie was born the day before Penny and Lisa and I are excited to have play dates with our little ladies!

Two days of fun

This week is off to a great start. On Monday, Penny met her Great Aunt Mary and her cousins Chloe and Emily. Chloe played blocks with Penny and Emily read her a book. It was great to see them and we can't wait to play together again soon!
On Tuesday, some of my college roommates (and one awesome sister of a roomie) came to visit. Our friendships were forged in the swimming pool at Bloomsburg and I can't imagine my life without these girls. I met Lisa C and Kate freshman year...thirteen years ago. We swam against Allyson, who went to West Chester, not knowing that she would soon become part of our circle. During our senior year, there were eleven of us that shared our apartment at 409 Lightstreet Road in Bloomsburg and today we're close as ever. We've grown up together and I can't tell you how proud I am of each and every one of them! I really wish we still lived in the same small town so we could see each other every day.

My friend Katey's son Gavin was born two weeks before Penny and we're so excited that they'll be growing up together. Lisa's daughter Ella will be two in June and we're hoping she teaches them everything she knows!
It was so great to see everyone and to catch up! We can't wait for more play dates!

My First Easter

My first Easter was fun. I packed my bag and grabbed my purse and headed off to Nana Lou and Poppa's house.

I tried to wait up to catch that Easter Bunny!

But, I fell asleep on daddy.

I woke up in Mommy's Easter Basket.

Nana Lou and Poppa got me my very own basket.

I saw my great gram Kadingo and those crazy Kadingo aunties.

The paparazzi took so many photos I needed to wear shades!

I had a web chat with my Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Terra.

I ended my night with a warm bath with my bath bunny from Aunt Megan.

Easter was great! I am sending big thanks to the Easter Bunny, my grandparents and my aunts for all the awesome presents!

7 Weeks Old!

Our baby girl is 7 weeks old! Time is flying and she is telling us more about herself every day. We know she doesn't like tomatoes, cold feet or the sound of guns on TV. She loves walks in her stroller, American Idol (I feed her during Idol and you should hear her. We think she is trying to sing along with the contestants), the airplane noise her daddy makes when he passes her off to mommy and laundry (you should hear her giggle while I'm asking her if the socks match). We can't wait to learn more about her as she grows!
