Swing Set

Penny's swing set came on Friday. But, it was raining, so we couldn't go out to play. She wanted to go out in the rain in the worst way!

As soon as Daddy woke up on Saturday morning, we headed out. She ran back through the yard on a mission.

And headed strainght for the swings.

After a few minutes, she was ready to explore. She climbed the ladder with help from daddy.

We helped her down the slide on the first try, but by the second trip down, she was a pro.

Do you think she loves it?

I think so! Even the parts we thought she wouldn't use until she was much older. With a little help from daddy, she showed us just how strong she is.

Now she wants us to swing along with her :) We've all been having fun out there!

Visitng Emily & Chloe

Yesterday we spent some time with Emily & Chloe. Penny had a BLAST!

Chloe taught Penny how to climb through the tunnel.

And Emily taught Penny about mail, playing with the toy door. Penny was in awe of Emily...I think Emily is her new favorite word. She woke up this morning and said "Emily pool?".

That's right, Emily & Chloe took us to their pool.

Penny LOVED swimming with Aunt Mary & Uncle Tomas and the girls.

She watched Emily and Chloe like a hawk and started splashing and laughing along with them.

Little skinnie minnie started shivering after a few minutes even though the water was a warm 85 degrees. But despite the shivers, she wanted to keep swimming, especially with Emily.

After our fun in the sun we headed home for dinner. And, more play time! It is so awesome to see the cousins play together! The girls are so nice to her and she adores them.

They read her good night stories too. She learns so much from them!

We can't wait to play with them again soon!

Meeting Lily

We had a quick visit with Ella yesterday. While Penny & Ella played with Elmo (thanks so much for sharing Ella- you are the best!)...

I got to snuggle up with Lisa & Chris' new bundle of cuteness, Lily. What a sweet baby!

We had such a great time meeting their new addition and can't wait to go back and play again soon.

After our busy weekend filled with wedding fun, we spent a low key 4th of July at home. Mommy & Penny ran a 5K at the Farm Park in the morning. Penny cheered for everyone and was so excited when the winner got his award!

Then we did a mini photo shoot, modeling all of Penny's patriotic attire.

After a morning of playing and a good nap, we headed over to Merrymead. We visited with the animals and then daddy bought me a treat.

I had my very first ice cream cone. Mommy helped with the first bite and after that, I knew exactly what to do.

Flower Girl!

Aunt Becky & Adam got married last weekend.

Wasn't she the most beautiful bride?

I got to be the flower girl! Adam's nephew Jackson was the ring bearer and we had so much fun together!

The reception was a blast! I danced with Papa while everyone at dinner.

And then I danced some more with my cousins. They are amazing dancers- Brian did a dance to Thriller and everyone cheered.

Aunt Becky & I did the Chicken Dance and everyone danced in a circle around us. Mommy was too busy dancing to get pictures of it, but we'll post some when the photographer sends us his.
