Our first days in the hospital were filled with visits from doctors and nurses. From anesthesiologists to lactation consultants, Penny certainly was popular! Everyone at Paoli Hospital was so nice to us and we had so many opportunities to learn how to care for and parent our baby girl. Penny had a hearing test and a metabolic screening. She also spent some time with two pediatricians. She even had a photo shoot with the photographer from Bella Baby. The most amazing part was that she only left our room twice during the entire stay (for her tests). From birth to discharge, we got to stay together as a family.
Penny had some family visitors during our time in the hospital. She got to meet Nana Lou and Poppa C, Aunt Missy, Aunt Becky and Adam while we were in the hospital. Of course, they are spoiling her already. We received so many well wishes over email from our family and friends. Penny even got flowers from my co-worker Carrie.
After two days in the hospital, we got the all clear and we headed home with our little girl!
