Penny got to spend Monday morning with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great visit with them over Penny's birthday weekend and were sad to see them head back to St. Louis. 
She asked them to be her Valentine :) They said YES!
Mommy and Daddy had a great time with Penny on Monday afternoon. We both enjoyed our day off work and our extra time with the Pennster.
Penny modeled one of her new birthday outfits for daycare on Tuesday.
And on Wednesday, I got to stay home with Penny again! We had her one year doctor's visit in the morning. She weighs 20 lbs. 1 oz. and is 30 inches long.

And on Wednesday, I got to stay home with Penny again! We had her one year doctor's visit in the morning. She weighs 20 lbs. 1 oz. and is 30 inches long. After the doctor, Penny and I went to the mall to ride the carousel. Mommy loves carousels, so I was excited to take Penny for her first ride.
She loved it! She cheered as we went up and down and patted her horse the entire ride. She also flirted with the mall walkers and danced to the music while we were shopping in New York and Co. A Miley Cyrus song came on and Penny smiled like crazy and bopped her head to the music. 
After talking with the doctor, we decided to quit the bottle and switch to sippy cups full time. Wednesday afternoon was a little rough, but by Thursday, she was a sippy cup champ! The weather has been unseasonably warm this week, so we headed outside for a little play time.
On Thursday, Penny and I met up with my cousin Veronnica at the King of Prussia Mall. She was in town for a work training. We had a great time shopping with her!
Today, we were able to go to the playground on our way home from school. Penny loves the swings!

We had such a great afternoon. It'll be cold again tomorrow, so we're anxiously awaiting spring weather and our next trip to the playground!

she is just too cute and looks so happy! i'm glad that she had such a special first birthday! i hope we get to see her again soon!
