School

I started school today. I had a great first day!
Aunt Becky, thank you for spending your summer with me. I really had a great summer with you! And Nana, Papa, Grandma, Aunt Missy and Aunt Nicole- don't think I didn't love every minute I spent with you, too. Thank you to everyone who played with me this summer!

A weekend in Cleveland

Last weekend, I took my first big road trip to visit my family in Cleveland. I had so much fun at Great Grandma Droughton's house!

I got to hang out with Godfather Alex.

And Grandma & Grandpa :)

I saw Great Aunt Mary and met Great Aunt Gail.

And, Great Uncle Tom & Great Aunt Nancy.

Phil & I are Great Grandma Jeannie's great grand kids.

Here I am with Aubrey and Lucas. We're Great Grandma Thompson's great grand kids.

Emily and Chloe were in Cleveland too! I love playing with them.

I had so much fun playing with everyone. I decided to officially crawl forward at Uncle Tom's house while I was playing with Colleen and Grandma! We had such a great weekend. Many thanks to Aunt Susie for hosting the Droughton family BBQ and Uncle Tom and Lori for getting all the Thompson's together. For more pictures, click here.

Congratulations Nana!

My Nana is Sch. County Conservation District's Teacher of the Year. I'm so proud of her! I went to a very nice luncheon to celebrate with her.
And, Great Pop Kadingo is home from the hospital :) I went to visit him and his dog Todd.
Tuesday was a good day!

A busy weekend

It was a busy weekend. I've lived in this house for 26 weeks, which is half of one year. In honor of this special milestone, I decided to throw a party.
The party wasn't for me...it was for these two love birds.
I threw them a party because they asked me to be their awesome flower girl.
Nana and Papa came to the party. I baked cupcakes with Nana.
I danced and danced with Papa. Party in the USA!
And, I finally got to meet Mr. Dave. He and Aunt Nicole came back from Chicago to visit me. I wish they lived in here like me.
Aunt Becky always tells me about her friends and it was really nice to finally get to meet them. I liked her buddy Riley and his big sister Keira the best- they were super fun to play with! We are going to have so much fun at their wedding next summer!
The girls went dress shopping and left me home with Daddy, Papa and Dave.
Some other highlights of the weekend....I hung with Nana and Papa a lot. Mommy and Daddy ran off to pick up our new wheels. They let me drive when they got home! I'm a very safe driver. I had my six month checkup with Dr. Phil. I weigh 16 pounds, 5 and 1/2 ounces. I'm 26 inches long. I'm hitting all my milestones. I'm cutting more teeth (top left is coming through). I like most of my solids (bananas are yummy).
I had my six months portraits taken and we'll post them soon.
I signed up with Mommy, Nana and Amy to walk in the Step Out! diabetes walk in October. If you need more information on the walk or want to sponsor our team, visit our team page.
Hope you all have a great week! love, Penny

Giggles :)

My two favorites making me smile!

6 months flew by in the blink of an eye!

Penny is six months old today. She can sit on her own and crawl backwards. She loves to dance and bounce. She just cut her third tooth (another bottom tooth). She's doing really well with her solids, although she doesn't seem to like the green veggies very much. She's a generally happy baby and we're so happy she's a part of our lives. The past six months have been nothing short of amazing and I can't wait to see what joy she brings to our lives over the next six months!

The Beach

I took my first trip to the beach this week on Thursday.
We went to Sea Isle City, NJ to visit the Fitzpatrick cousins during their beach week. I dipped my toes in the Atlantic Ocean. It was freezing!
Things were much better on the sand :)
Aunt Becky and Nana came to the beach with me.
The best part of the beach was meeting the rest of the cousins, like Jane. She gives the best kisses! One day, Jane & I are going to go to college together. I fit right in with the girls! I can't wait to hang out with them again soon.
Thanks to the Fitz cousins for letting us share in your beach trip.

A visit from Aunt Miss and Eric

I'm not so sure about this crazy red head, but I really like her boyfriend :)
Thanks for coming to visit Aunt Missy & Eric. Sorry I was cranky. I don't like peas. I get to try sweet potatoes tomorrow :)

Fun with the Bloomsburg girls

This weekend, Mommy and I went to Long Island, NY for Suzanne's baby shower. I loved meeting Suzanne and can't wait for September so we can meet her little girl. The car ride was good for napping, but I got bored in the back seat. Thank goodness Kerri came along for the ride. I let her and mommy know that I wanted company and so Kerri came to the back seat to play with me.
I got to meet Mandy and her girls Madyson and Myah!
Madyson is a big helper :)
And I had so much fun playing with Myah. She didn't seem to mind my slobber and taught me a thing or two about sitting up.I played with my friends Ella and Gavin.
And, I smiled for the camera when Ryan took our picture :)
Suzanne's friend Krissy was even nice enough to take a picture of Mommy & I.
What a fun trip! Those Bloomsburg girls sure are cool. I can't wait to see them all again.
